Shoebox filling for Refugees & Asylum Seekers on Sun 3rd Dec 2017

On Sunday 3rd December 2017 our 10am service will be all about filling Shoeboxes, beautifully wrapped in Christmas paper, with goodies to bless some of the refugees and asylum seekers in our city. Come along with any of the items in the list below, and be a blessing. Jesus said “it is more blessed to GIVE than to receive.” (Acts 20v35).

Suggested shoe box contents

  • Education - pens, pencils, eraser, crayons, felt tips, colouring pens & sharpener, note book, stickers, colouring book, small ruler, magazines/comics, simple reads
  • Hygiene - soap, toothbrush & toothpaste, flannel, shower gel, deodorant, hand/face/body cream, hair comb/brush, hair accessories, jewellery, lip balm, pocket tissues
  • Toys/games - bouncy ball, tennis ball, small ball, soft toy, puzzle/game, bubbles
  • Other - socks, gloves, hats, bags, sweets, dates/dried fruit, sachets for hot drinks
